He completed his undergraduate education in 1999 with a Bachelor of Social Science (S.Sos) degree from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Jenderal Soedirman University. His postgraduate education was taken at Lancaster University in Great Britain in 2001-2002 with a Master of Arts (M.A) in Sociology and at the University of Western Australia in 2010-2014 with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Asian Studies. Now he works as a lecturer at the Department of Sociology FISIP Unsoed. Her academic interests are in the field of popular culture studies (especially film), gender, religious movements, and social justice issues.
