Amir Masoud Soheili, born in Mashhad, Iran, is a filmmaker and freelance photographer, videographer, and videojournalist. Obtaining a BA degree in Law from Ferdowsi University, he studied cinema at Indonesia Art Institute in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, for one year. He is now a master degree student in Europe, majoring in scriptwriting.

His film, Blue-eyed boy (2014), won 20 international awards from more than 140 international film festivals, while Elephantbird participated in more than 160 film festivals and won 30 awards. He was a member of the juries of the 10th Yogya Netpac Asian Film Festival (2015), Viddsee Juree awards competition (Indonesia, 2016), Avanca International Film Festival (Portugal, 2016 and 2018), SAARC Film Festival (Sri Lanka, 2017), International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala (India, 2018), Malatya International Film Festival (Turkey, 2018), and Dhaka International Youth Film Festival (Bangladesh, 2020).
